Young Whitehall promotes Amused Moose competition

Here’s a very fresh-faced Jack Whitehall – pictured 11 years ago when he won the Amused Moose comedy award.

The comic had just turned 19 at the time, and was following in the footsteps of Sarah Millican, who won the title two years earlier.

The Amused Moose has released the image to mark the launch of this year’s competition.

Around 350 entrants have submitted clips of their stand-up or sketches, with 80 now selected to take part in quarter-finals over the next two months, en route to the final at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The next rounds take place at the Sanctum Soho Hotel on Saturdays from February 3, with tickets priced £8 to £12.
