Cruttenden to compete in Saturday night BBC One show

Hal Cruttenden is to appear on a new Saturday night TV show.

The comedian is one of the celebrities taking part in family gameshow Partners In Rhyme, the new vehicle for Strictly Come Dancing judge  Len Goodman.

Each week four celebrities will join contestants as they battle to win a series of rounds based on rhyming clues.

Six half-hour episodes will air on BBC One later in the summer.

Other stars lined up to compete include Goodman’s former Strictly colleagues Anton du Beke and Oti Mabuse and contestants Ore Oduba, Phil Tufnell and Russell Grant – as well as actress Nina Wadia and choirmaster Gareth Malone.

Goodman said: ‘Who will be poetry in motion and who will cower at the couplets? Let the rhyming commence!’
