About ‘what it means to be a woman, a wife and a daughter today’

Katherine Ryan has written her second memoir about ‘what it means to be a woman, a wife and a daughter today’.

First Born Daughter will be published on October 22 and promises the comedians ‘honest opinions around the topics of women's rights, parenting, health, ageing and so much more’.

It follows The Audacity: Why Being Too Much Is Exactly Enough which made the Sunday Times bestseller list when it was published in 2021.

First Born Daughter – which shares its title with Ryan's most recent stand-up special – is to be published by Blink Publishing, which has previously released memoirs by Josh Widdicombe, Nick Frost, Lou Sanders and Pierre Novellie.

News of the book, which is subtitled Having It All and Doing It Anyway, was first reported by the British Comedy Guide.

First Born Daughter  is available to order from Amazon priced £22 in hardback – or as an ebook from uk.bookshop.org, below, which supports independent bookstores.
