As the second season drops on Prime Video

Last One Laughing is to return for a third series and a Halloween special.

Prime Video has announced the commission on the day the first three episodes of series two dropped.

Jimmy Carr will return to host alongside deputy Roisin Conaty – although the line-up of comedians  taking part has not yet been revealed. 

Those taking part in series two – trying to keep a straight face while trying to make their opponents laugh – are David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Sam Campbell, Bob Mortimer.

Two more episodes drop next Thursday with the  finale on April 2. 

The return has attracted strong reviews with five-star write ups in The Guardian – which praised its ‘unabashed pursuit of actual mirth’ and Metro and four in The Telegraph and Chortle.

Series three will air in 2027.

Last year’s first series featured Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe,Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, and Richard Ayoade.

Last One Laughing is produced by Banijay UK labels Zeppotron and Initial. It is based on  a Japanese format called Documental – which has now been remade in 30 countries including Ireland, South Africa and Australia.
