Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade shortlisted as a memorable moment
The speed-dating showdown between Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade on Last One Laughing has been nominated for a Bafta.
The scene is up for the memorable moment award – the only accolade decided by public vote.
Also nominated are Alan Carr winning The Celebrity Traitors and the heartbreaking moment in Jack Rooke’s Big Boys when it’s revealed that Danny, played by Jon Pointing, took his own life, when he says: ‘I didn’t make it, did I?’
The list is rounded out by
- Adolescence (Netflix): Jamie snaps at the psychologist
- Blue Lights (BBC): The police are warned of an ambush plot to silence a key witness
- What It Feels Like For A Girl (BBC): Byron leaves for Brighton to start Uni, where she introduces herself as Paris
Hilary Rosen, chair of Bafta’s television committee, said: "It’s been a huge pleasure to chair this year’s jury and share in the thoughtful, passionate conversations about the standout television moments of 2025.
‘From powerful drama to unmissable entertainment and brilliantly sharp comedy, the nominees reflect the creative breadth and cultural impact of best-in-class television. I look forward to seeing which memorable moments resonate with the public, and the conversations they’ll spark well beyond the final vote.’
Voting is open until 9pm on April 22. The winner will be announced at the Bafta Television Awards – which is sponsored by P&O Cruises – on May 10.
The second series of Last One Laughing airs on Amazon’s Prime Video from Thursday.
