Brian And Roger podcast heads to Radio 4

Six new episodes from Harry Peacock and Dan Skinner

Comedy podcast Brian And Roger is to make its BBC Radio 4 debut this spring.

Harry Peacock and Dan Skinner are making six new episodes, which will air  weekly from April 1 at 11pm.

Events in the show are told entirely through voice notes, letting listeners eavesdrop on the relationship between scheming, manipulative Brian and the good-natured Roger, who is easily taken advantage of.

A 15-episode 'best of' collection has been posted on BBC Sounds today for new listeners.

Skinner is best known for playing Angelos Epithimou on Shooting Stars and on the stand-up circuit, while Peacock played Ray Purchase in Toast of London.

The pair said in a statement : 'We are as amazed as anyone that this has been commissioned but it's happening. They're actually going to let us do it and we look forward to our fun but probably brief relationship with the BBC.'

Julia McKenzie, commissioning editor for comedy at Radio 4, said: 'I'm excited, if trepidatious, to bring these disturbed and desperate men to BBC Radio 4. Fans of dark comedy, strap in!’

The podcast was previously adapted for a stage show  at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London in 2021.

Brian And Roger is produced by Sally Harrison at Johnny Vegas’s company, Woolyback Productions.
