Stamptown to become a Netflix comedy special
Anarchic showcase to be filmed at streamer's annual LA festival
Cult late-night comedy show Stamptown is to be made into a Netflix comedy special.
The anarchic show – created by US comedian Zach Zucker and featuring cabaret, burlesque and circus as well as stand-up and clowning – will be recorded at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles in May.
Zucker will, as usual, host in the guise of his unhinged alter ego Jack Tucker, although the full line-up has yet to be announced.
Previous guests have included the likes of Neil Patrick Harris, David Cross, Karen Gillan, Richard Gadd, Mae Martin, Reggie Watts, Bridget Christie and Natalie Palamides, and Alex Edelman.
First performed in underground spaces, the format has become a favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, as well as venues such as the Soho Theatre. Returning characters, sketches and skits form a ‘Stamptown Cinematic Universe’ of collaborations unique to the show.
The Stamptown Netflix special will be filmed across two nights at The Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood on May 8 and 9. Tickets go on sale at the Stamptown website tomorrow, ahead of general public on sale from Friday,
The special is expected to be released later in 2026.

Other comedians performing at the Netflix Is A Joke festival include Diane Morgan, Brett Goldstein, Mo Gilligan, Mae Martin, Daniel Sloss, Bill Burr, John Mulaney, Adam Sandler, Maria Bamford, Flight Of The Conchords and Jerry Seinfeld.
