DO GOODERS: Garrett Millerick’s radio sitcom, set in the fictional charity The Alzheimers Alliance returns for a second series. It stars Frank Skinner, Fay Ripley, Ahir Shah, Ania Magliano and Kathryn Drysdale.BBC Radio 4, 6.30pm
UNIVERSAL BASIC GUYS: This American animated sitcom comes to ITVX, following a group of factory workers who are enrolled in a universal basic income pilot program when their jobs are taken over by AI-powered robots, and left with a monthly income and a lot of free time to get into trouble.
Friday September 5
MITCHELL & WEBB ARE NOT HELPING: A welcome return for David Mitchell and Robert Webb to the sketch format. The pair have also recruited Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Lara Ricote, Stevie Martin and Krystal Evans to act and write in the six-part series. Episode one features 18th-century housemates grappling with the latest in tech – the toilet – family feuding in Sweary Aussie Drama, an unhelpful therapist and a porn star who really does have a big spanner. Plus a recreation of THAT Prince Andrew interview, pictured above. Channel 4, 10pm
THE PAPER: The new mockumentary set in the same universe as The Office lands, with Domhnall Gleeson starring as the editor trying to turn around a struggling midwestern newspaper.
