Channel 4 series airs next month

Channel 4 has released the first sketch from  Mitchell And Webb Are Not Helping.

The sketch features Robert Webb and Stevie Martin as airport security guards issuing confusing instructions to passengers played by David Mitchell and Lara Ricote.

When their comeback was announced back in February, Mitchell and Robert Webb said in a statement : ‘When Channel 4 asked us to do another sketch show we were startled, bemused and available. It’s a perilous time for the industry and so it’s our hope that relaunching the trickiest genre of comedy is a brilliant piece of counterintuitive commissioning.’

The cast also features Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Krystal Evans and is written by a team of established and upcoming comic writers.

Channel 4 also today the above image showing other characters in the series, from a sketch set in the Australian outback. 

The six-part show launches next month – although no precise date has yet been confirmed.
