Host of comedians taking part in new ITV series

Comedians including Nick Mohammed, Johnny Vegas and  Babatunde Aléshé are to appear in the next series of ITV1’s You Bet!

The next series of the Stephen Mulhern-hosted show hits the road for challenges filmed around the UK. Six regular episodes plus a Christmas special, have been commissioned.

Mohammed will appear alongside Rob Beckett and Alison Hammond on the panel of the festive episode.

Others taking part across the series are: Holly Willoughby, Zoe Ball, Alex Brooker, Rylan Clark, Alesha Dixon, Josie Gibson, Danny Jones, Eddie Kadi, Judi Love, Oti Mabuse, AJ Odudu, Will Best, Greg Rutherford, Adam & Ryan Thomas and Josh Widdicombe.

The commission follows the success of two special editions last December, with Beckett on the panel for both.

Katie Rawcliffe, director of entertainment and daytime commissioning for ITV, said: ‘We are so excited to announce that You Bet! is getting out of the studio and onto the road. Free from the constraints of being inside, the show can bring viewers even more extreme and exciting big-scale challenges than ever before.’ 

You Bet! originally aired on ITV for ten series  between 1988 and 1997, hosted by Bruce Forsyth, Matthew Kelly and Darren Day.

• Mohammed will be one of the presenters for the upcoming BBC Proms season. The comedian, who is is also a keen violinist, will present The Planets and Star Wars Prom with the National Youth Orchestra, which will  take place at the Royal Albert Hall on August 9 and broadcast on BBC Two.
