Mo Gilligan joins A League Of Their Own

Comedian to be a regular on Sky's sports quiz

Mo Gilligan has signed up to be a regular panellist on Sky’s A League Of Their Own.

The comic will be joining Jamie Redknapp on the red team of the sport comedy panel show when it returns for its 18th season next month.

‘I love this show,’ Gilligan said. ‘I always have. It’s good people and good vibes. When Sky asked if I’d consider joining the A League of Their Own team, there was no question in my mind. It was an immediate yes. I’m here for it all!’

He and Redknapp will face Lioness  Jill Scott and  former Man City and England right-back, Micah Richards on the blue team, while Romesh Ranganathan returns as host.

Guests lined up for the new series include comics Tom Davis, Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett, Jimmy Carr, Maisie Adam and Guz Khan plus sportspeople Stuart Broad, Mary Earps, Christian Horner and Daniel Sturridge.

Phil Edgar Jones, director of Sky arts and entertainment said: ‘A League of their Own is a brilliantly entertaining show and a big part of its special, unique formula is our star panellists, and the banter they share with our guests every week.

‘As such, we are absolutely thrilled to have Mo Gilligan formally come on board. We can’t wait to see him get his feet under the table and his head in the game.’

Sky released this video announcing the news:

The new series will be available on Sky Max and streaming service Now.
