Want to take part in Live Comedy Day 2027?
Events for those interested
The Live Comedy Association has announced a series of meetings for anyone who wants to take part in next year’s Live Comedy Day.
Backed by BBC Radio 4 and with funding from Arts Council England, the day takes place on April 1 again. Last year more than 120 comedians took part in the initiative, designed to raise the profile of the industry and champion its significance in British cultural life.
Supporter Joe Lycett said: ‘Live Comedy Day is very important. It’s important to support grassroots venues. We need more, small, brilliant little comedy clubs to learn your craft, to bring new talent up and maybe see some people you have seen off the telly in small, intimate environments. We’re losing small comedy clubs, and we need to keep them!’
Meetings take place on November 18 at the Frog & Bucket in Manchester, November 24 online (at 5pm) and December 1 at Broadcasting House in London. Book places here.
