Horror writer guests on the Russell Howard Hour

Garth Marengh is to make his first TV appearance in more than 15 years tonight.

Matthew Holness’s horror-writer alter-ego will be on the Russell Howard Hour to reading a passage from his terrifying festive horror novel.

And here he offers a teaser:

The character remains a cult favourite 18 years after Channel 4 aired  Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, which also starred Richard Ayoade, Alice Lowe and Matt Berry. Marenghi last appeared on Ayoade's Man to Man with Dean Learner in 2006.

He has just written his first book in our realm, Terrortome, and has been touring the UK reading extracts and conducting Q&As. (Review and Garth Marenghi tour dates).

The Russell Howard Hour airs tonight at 10pm on Sky Max.
