The John Bishop Show returns to ITV
John Bishop is to return for a second series of his Saturday night topical chat show, ITV has announced.
The comic will make six new regular episodes for 2023 following an end of year show looking back at the tumultuous events of 2022.
Katie Rawcliffe head of entertainment commissioning at ITV said of Bishop: ‘With his comedic brilliance and captivating style, I can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve’
The first season of The John Bishop Show aired earlier this year and featured guests including Courteney Cox, Hugh Bonneville, Jason Manford and Bill Bailey.
Bishop said: ‘I was delighted with the response to the first series. It was great to give viewers a Saturday night show that offered an entertaining mix of comedy, interesting guests and topical discussion. I can't wait to do another series.
‘And before that, I'm really looking forward to my end of year show - but it's been such a quiet year, I don't know what I will talk about...’
The new commission follows Bishop’s arena tour and starring role as Dan Lewis in the latest series of Doctor Who.
