Simon Day announces 2022 tour
Reprising some Fast Show characters
Fast Show star Simon Day is to tour the UK this autumn.
The comic has announced 25 dates for his Simon Day And Friends show that will revive some of his familiar characters.
They include blazer-wearing music hall legend Tommy Cockles, acclaimed Yorkshire poet Geoffrey Allerton, unlikely eco warrior Dave Angel and reformed violent Criminal Tony Beckton.
In character as Cockles, Day said: 'Great to be travelling around the country again, in the old days I was in a double act with David Niven. We could only afford a single room and he would hang off my shoulders so the landlady would only hear one pair of feet!’
Day’s other credits include Bellamy’s People, two series of The Simon Day Show on Radio 4, Shakespeare In Love and Red Dwarf.
His tour kicks off inCrawley on September 14.
