E4 says goodbye to Brooklyn Nine-Nine

One-off tribute as sitcom wraps after nine years

E4 is to broadcast a one-off special to bid farewell to Brooklyn Nine-Nine just before the final episode airs.

Goodbye Brooklyn Nine-Nine  will feature contributions from cast members including Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio and Craig Robinson – as well as co-creator Dan Goor.

British fans including comics Nish Kumar and Catherine Bohart will also share their favourite moments from across the series.

Mark Robinson, executive producer for Wise Owl Films, said: ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine isn’t just one of the funniest American comedies of recent years – in years to come we’ll look back on it as one of the most ground-breaking in terms of its storylines and characters. It’s been fascinating to hear from the stars and creator of the series just how they set about making comedy history.’

The hour-long show will air on Wednesday   June 8 at 8pm on E4  just before the final episode.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been on air since 2013, and survived a cancellation after five series when the NBC network picked it up from Fox.

The two-part show finale aired in the US in September and revolves around the  precinct braces for a last heist before Captain Raymond Holt (Braugher)  and Amy Santiago (Fumero) leave the precinct. Jake Peralta (Samberg) also reveals he is going to leave the precinct and wants to prepare for the perfect goodbye.
