Rare Spike Milligan footage to air on TV

...including previously lost footage

Lost and previously unseen footage of Spike Milligan is to air as part of a documentary later this year.

The Goon is one of four stars being celebrated in the Sky Arts series Lost and Found, which promises ‘never before aired film, interviews and scripts’ from the late comedian.

The series aims to use ‘previously lost footage, interviews and archive material to unearth new stories about some of the most famous figures in the worlds of music, literature and art.’

Also featured are Nina Simone, Cider with Rosie writer Laurie Lee, and jazz  singer Dame Cleo Laine – the latter film being made by Victor Lewis-Smith.

The Lost and Found documentaries will air on Sky Arts  and streaming service Now later this year.

They were commissioned by Sky executives Zai Bennett, and Phil Edgar-Jones. The Spike Milligan episode is being made by Yeti Television, with Sian Price as the executive producer.
