Filming starts on Dinosaur series 2
Ashley Storrie returning as Nina
Filming has begun on the second series of Ashley Storrie’s comedy Dinosaur.
The comic returns as autistic woman Nina – and this time she has a love interest played by Hyoie O’Grady, as recently seen in the US series Sherlock & Daughter
Storrie created the series with Matilda Curtis and it went on to be named best scripted comedy at the 2024 RTS Scotland Awards and win both a writing and an audience award at last year’s Scottish Baftas.
Fleabag makers Two Brothers Pictures are currently filming six new half-hour episodes in Glasgow.
Also returning for series two are stars Kat Ronney, David Carlyle, Lorn Macdonald, Danny Ashok, Sally Howitt, Greg Hemphill, Sabrina Sandhu, Ben Rufus Green, Jim Kitson and Martine Brown.
When series two was announced in November, Storrie said: ‘I’m dead chuffed that the amazing team that brought series one to life has been recognised by our peers in the Scottish film and television industry and I’m so excited that we’re getting to share more of Nina and her family’s journey. Who knows, there might be actual dinosaurs this time round…’
And Curtis added: ‘I’m so grateful for the chance to get back into Nina's world again for series two. Dinosaur is the best cast and crew working at the top of their game and I'm over the moon the show has been recognised by Bafta Scotland!’
