Bert Kreischer to make a Netflix sitcom

Six-episode show from shirtless US stand-up

Netflix is making a new comedy centred on the life of American comedian Bert Kreischer.

The stand-up – who always performs shirtless – plays a version of himself in the six-episode show, Free Bert.

Its plot revolves around his daughters enrolling in an elite school in Beverly Hills school, prompting the comic to clean up his act to fit in after his ‘unbridled antics turn his family into outcasts’.

Kreischer already has five stand-up specials on the streamer  as well as the  comedy film The Machine and reality show The Cabin with Bert Kreischer.

Arden Myrin will play his wife and internet star  Ava Rya  one of his daughters, American trade press reports.

Netflix has recently made scripted series with comics including Shane Gillis (Tires) and  Tom Segura (Bad Thoughts, just  renewed for a second season) and Michelle Buteau (Survival of the Thickest)
