Another 1,281 Edinburgh shows go on sale today

Frank Skinner, Phil Wang, Al Murray and Ed Gamble are among the comedians heading to the Edinburgh Fringe this August.

They are all on the roster of management giant Avalon, which has just announced its line-up for the festival as part of  a major official update to the programmer today.

An extra 1,281 shows have gone on sale edfringe.com today, adding to previous releases in March and April to make  2,074 shows now available,

Other comedy highlights revealed today include Reginald D Hunter at Assembly, Mark Thomas  at The Stand, John Hegley at Summerhall, Thanyia Moore at Monkey Barrel, Britain's Got Talent impressionist Danny Posthill at the Frankenstein Pub.

Avalon's Fringe line-up also includes Jayde Adams, Simon Brodkin,   Chloe Petts, Flo & Joan, Rob Auton, Luke Kempner, Richard Herring with his hit podcast RHLSTP and Matt Forde with his latest stand-up hour as well as live recordings of his hit Political Party Podcast with guests including Gordon Brown. Some of these shows have already been announced.

The company lays claim to having worked with more Edinburgh Comedy Award winners and nominees than any other company in their 32 years on the Fringe.

More shows set to be announced on Thursday June 9 with the official programme launch on Thursday July 7.
