Apple TV+ wants more of the Jason Sudeikis comedy

Apple TV+ has ordered a third series of its comedy Ted Lasso, even before a second has started shooting.

Filmed in London, the show stars Jason Sudeikis as a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience in the game. 

The series also stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed and Ellie Taylor.

It launched on Apple TV+ in August and has an approval rating of 87 per cent from critics, according to review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Sudeikis is also executive producer, alongside Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence.
