Taskmaster wins 1.7million viewers for Channel 4

Series especially popular with 16-34 year-olds

The first Taskmaster episode on Channel 4 attracted 1.7million viewers, overnight data reveals.

That figure is roughly in line with what the show scored on Dave when catch-up viewing was also counted – which means  the show is sure to grow its audience with the change in broadcaster, once on-demand requests are also counted.

Channel 4 has also hailed the fact that the show won its 9pm slot among the key 16-34 year-old demographic.

Shot under social distancing rules, the tenth series featured Daisy May Cooper, Johnny VegasKatherine Parkinson, Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring being given ludicrous challenges by Taskmaster Greg Davies and his sidekick Alex Horne, who created the format.
