Borat sequel gets a title - and it very nice

Sacha Baron Cohen returning to screens

The new Borat sequel is to be subtitled Gift Of Pornographic Monkey To Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence To Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan, it has been reported.

American website The Film Stage unearthed an online listing from the Writers Guild Of America website giving the full title.

However, that entry was subsequently taken down yesterday, although it is not known whether that was to stop further leaks or because the title had not been finalised.

The reference to US vice-president Mike Pence suggests the film would be best suited for release before the November 3 elections, while its convoluted name is in line with the original 2006 film, which was fully titled Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

According to the WGA, Sacha Baron Cohen wrote the script with Anthony Hines, Dan Swimer, Peter Baynham, Erica Rivinoja, Dan Mazer, Jena Friedman and Lee Kern.

Earlier this month it was reported that shooting had been completed and the film already screened to industry insiders.

The comic was  spotted filming over the summer, including trolling a right-wing rally in disguise and behind the wheel of a car in the streets of Los Angeles in his Borat get-up.

Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani also said he was a victim of one of Cohen’s stunts when an interview was interrupted by a man in a pink bikini and mesh top. The former New York mayor said: ‘It looked absurd. He had the beard, bare legs, and wasn’t what I would call distractingly attractive.'

Website Collider has reported that the film has the meta-premise that Borat is no longer the little-known Kazakh TV personality he was in 2006 movie, and because he public knows who he is now, he has to go undercover to get his interviews.
