Irish firebranks announces Tomfoolery show for 2020

Tommy Tiernan has announced a new show for 2020.

Initially, 16 English dates have been confirmed for his Tomfoolery tour, kicking off at Birmingham Town Hall on March 3 and concluding at the Newcastle Tyne Theatre & Opera House on March 21.

It includes two London dates – at Alexandra Palace and Eventim Apollo – plus The Lowry in Salford.

Promoters say that at 50 'age has not dulled him, In fact, he seems more full of fire and mischief now than he ever was' with a show that considers his favourite subjects: God, sex and family.

Tiernan has found new fans in the UK thanks to his appearances on Channel 4’s Derry Girls.

Emma Sidi has taken great care to replicate the authentic feel of 1980s Spanish-language telenovelas in this spot-on parody, set in contemporary small-town England and which she describes as 'a bit Acorn Antiques, bit Garth Marenghi'.

At her mother's untimely funeral, Becky Hello (a typical British millennial as imagined by Mexican writers who have never been to the UK) discovers she has inherited a fortune. But it isn't long before nefarious family members begin to circle, and Becky must keep her wits about her if she is to avoid the same fate as her mother.
