New multimedia exhibition to feature rare archives

A major multimedia exhibition about Frank Sidebottom and his creator Chris Sievey is to open in Manchester next month.

The show, entitled Bobbims, features rare items from Sievey's archive, as featured in the new documentary Being Frank: The Chris Sievey Story.

It is co-curated by the film's director Steve Sullivan and art director Dave Arnold. They say visitors should 'expect art, video, audio and bobbins puppets'.

A 10ft banner of Sidebottom's papier mache head has been hung on the outside of Manchester Central Library to promote the free exhibition, which opens there on March 1 and runs until April 30.

Earlier today a new trailer was released for the film, which , hits UK and Irish cinemas on March 29.
