Channel 4's Alternative Election Night to return
...plus a Last Leg special
Channel 4’s Alternative Election Night is to return, with David Mitchell, Richard Osman and Jeremy Paxman.
The June 8 show will also feature Channel 4 News presenters Cathy Newman and Gary Gibbon reporting on the results.
In 2015, Channel 4’s Alternative Election Night was the most watched election night coverage on commercial TV, achieving a peak audience of 2.4million at 10pm, as polls closed.
The broadcaster has also announced that The Last Leg will have a live two-hour post-election special, with Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe and guests.
The whole series was brought forward to ensure that the channel’s flagship topical satire show was on air during the campaign.
Channel 4 is also hosting a joint programme with Sky News, May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10, in which Jeremy Paxman will interview the Prime Minister and Labour leader separately.
