Simon Bird has signed up for a new lesbian rom-com movie that also stars David Tennant.

It is not yet known what role the Inbetweeners and Friday Night Dinner star will play in You, Me And Him

Lucy Punch and Faye Marsay play the lead characters,a party girl and and older woman in a couple; with Tennant as their neighbour. 

Sally Phillips, Ingrid Oliver – of the Watson And Oliver double act – and another former Dr Who, Peter Davison, are also in the cast.

The film was originally entitled Fish Without Bicycles and goes into production next week, trade website ScreenDaily reports.

Jason Moring, from distributors Double Dutch International, told them: ‘This fresh rom-com brings lots of humour, a few tears and surprises that will keep audiences in fits of laughter.’
