Frankie Boyle, now a support act

A tight 5: February 27

Frankie Boyle is going on the road... as a support act. The Glaswegian will be warming up for Glenn Wool on the Scottish and London dates of his short UK tour, The Jokes I'm Most Fond Of, which kicks off on April 18 in Birmingham.

FRANK SKINNER is to present a new comedy discussion programme on history for Radio 4. The comic also created the show, The Rest Is History, in which resident expert Dr Kate Williams and guests will explore the past.

AMERICAN comic Tim Wilson has died at the age of 52 from an apparent heat attack. He was known for his comedy songs, including Garth Brooks Ruined My Life, and he also co-wrote Jeff Foxworthy's hit The Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas.

JOHNNY VEGAS is to take part in the next series of All Star Mr & Mrs on ITV.

EUGENE MIRMAN has resubmitted his White House petition against anti-gay legislation in Uganda after the first, requesting that President Barack Obama tell the African nation to 'go fuck themselves' was removed. The new post demands Obama 'tell Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni that he is a Ding-Dong-Boob-Poopy' and 'request that everyone involved with passage of that law puts "their ding-dongs into their own hoo-hoos for up to forty-five minutes".'
