As BBC Two unveils Christmas schedule

Rab C Nesbitt is to return for a Christmas special – the first new episode in two years.

The plot will see Gregor Fisher's vested anti-hero styling himself as a moden-day Robin Hood, 'robbing the rich to give to the scum'.

The news was confirmed by BBC Two today as it unveiled the highlights of its Christmas schedules.

They also include a festive edition of Hebburn and a tribute to Mel Smith, in which Griff Rhys Jones, John Lloyd, Richard Curtis and others, talk about the late comic.

Johnny Vegas will host a Never Mind The Buzzcocks Christmas Special, with guests including Sara Pascoe, while the festive QI includes Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O'Carroll alongside Jo Brand and Phill Jupitus.

The Sarah Millican Programme also has a Christmas special, and, as previously announced, Charlie Brooker returns for a 2013 Wipe.

Exact transmission times and dates have yet to be confirmed.
