Top gong at British Comedy Awards

Sacha Baron Cohen revived his Ali G character as he won the outstanding achievement gong at the British Comedy Awards.

He accepted his award in character at the ceremony in London last night, screened live on Channel 4, where he got his break on the 11 O’Clock SHow

Julia Davis’ Sky Atlantic spoof period drama Hunderby was the big winner of the night, scooping best sitcom and best new comedy programme.
