Reeves returns to comedy roots

New series for Radio 2

Vic Reeves is returning to his roots with a new character-based sketch show for Radio 2.

The comic is making six half-hour episodes of The Vic Reeves Show, which promises a variety of new comic creations.

The programme, due to go out later this year, is said to have a ‘similar feel’ to his early TV shows such as Big Night Out.

Reeves will also be fronting a new panel series for the station, called Does the Team Think?, due to air on Thursday nights from next month.

Recording of the eight-part series has already begun, with guests including Paul Whitehouse, Tom Baker, Alan Carr, Sean Lock, Arthur Smith and Michael McIntyre.

The aim is for the panel to discuss such questions as, ‘does the team think wearing tracksuit bottoms is socially acceptable’ or ‘does the team think they have a sense of humour?’

Both shows are being made by Open Mike Productions.
