Filming starts on series two of We Might Regret This

And Detectorists' Sophie Thompson joins cast

Filming has begun on the second series of the BBC Two comedy We Might Regret This.

Kyla Harris and Darren Boyd will return as the recently engaged Freya and Abe, who soon become aware that their views on marriage –and visions for the big day – aren’t always aligned.

Meanwhile tetraplegic artist Freya’s agents (Emma Sidi and Hanako Footman) enlist the couple in a wedding-themed content creation campaign focused on disability inclusion.

It has also been announced today that Sophie Thompson – who played Sheila in Detectorists – is joining the cast as an alternative bridalwear designer.

Harris created the show with Lee Getty, and they promised ‘more laughs, hard truths and nipples’ in the second series of four half-hour episodes.

The comedy is produced by Stath Lets Flats makers Roughcut, where executive producer Rebecca Murrell said: ‘So delighted to be back in production on We Might Regret This. Series two reboots our knotty relationships with drama, hope and hilarity.’

Elena Saurel returns as Freya’s personal assistant Jo, with Edward Bluemel, Sally Phillips, Aasiya Shah and Lolly Adefope also returning to the show.
