Brett Goldstein nominated for a Golden Globe for his stand-up
Alongside the likes of Ricky Gervais and Sarah Silverman
Brett Goldstein has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his stand-up.
The comedian already has two Emmys under his belt for playing Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, a role that previously won him a Golden Globe nomination in 2022.
This year – a decade after is last solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe – he recorded his debut stand-up special, The Second Best Night of Your Life, for US streaming giant HBO.
It has today earned Goldstein a nomination for the Golden Globe for best performance in a stand-up special, where he is up against Bill Maher for Is Anyone Else Seeing This?; Kevin Hart for Acting My Age; Kumail Nanjiani for Night Thoughts; Ricky Gervais for Mortality and Sarah Silverman for Postmortem.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony on January 11.
