The Mock The Week panel take aim at Andy Burnham in the episode set to air on Sunday.

Angela Barnes pooh-poohed the idea that the probable next prime minister was a ‘charisma bomb’, describing him instead as ‘Keir Starmer with his adenoids removed’.

And they spoke of the memorable image from the Makerfield by-election with Burnham pictured next to Count Binface and a candidate dressed asa fox:

Speaking of the ‘red warning’ issued for the heatwave. Regular Rhys James said he took a ‘Leonardo DiCaprio’ approach to the weather - as ‘when it’s above 25, I don’t want to go out.’

And host Dara O Briain spoke of how Scotland’s World Cup supporters had taken Ireland’s place as at the whimsical, drunken visitors who delight the locals.

Also on the panel this week were Hugh Dennis, Milton Jones, Janine Harouni and Ed Byrne.

This is the last of the Mock The Week summer specials, with the regular series returning in September. It airs Sundays at 9pm on free-to-air TV channel, TLC.
