Why'd You Say It?

The new game show about Instagram comments from SNL

Kenan Thompson hosted a new game show - Why'd You Say It? - on Saturday Night Live last night.

In it contestants Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Dismukes and Chloe Fineman had to answer questions about comments they left on Instagram.

The sketch was also seen as a way for The Bear star Edebiri to apologise for previous  insults she aimed at Jennifer Lopez.

In it, Edebiri said:  'It's wrong to leave mean comments... or run your mouth on a podcast and you don't consider the impact because you're 24 and stupid.

'But I think I speak for everyone when I say that from now on we’re going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online.'

In a 2020 episode of the podcast Scam Goddess, Edebiri said J-Lo's career was 'one long scam' and suggested she didn't sing on all her tracks. Gossip website TMZ gave the comments further publicity by highlighting them in a story published on Friday.
