They are the scourge of many a tourist city – and never more so that at Edinburgh during the Fringe.

Now Ashley Frieze has used his hatred of the  Silent Disco torus to inspire his new spmg/

He admits: ‘Annoyingly, I kind of warmed to them after playing with their footage on my video editor for a few hours... especially as I forced them to dance to my own song.

‘But in fairness, they were mainly on mute, and thus not as annoying as in real life.’
