Here's the official trailer for I Love My Dad, starring comedian Patton Oswalt.

The comedy film is inspired by writer, director, and star James Morosini’s true life experience, of being  catfished by his estranged father.

He explained: 'My dad and I got into a big fight and I decided to just cut him off of social media and everything else. I got home one day and this really pretty girl sent me a friend request online, I was very excited and this story was born...'

The movie – out in US cinemas on August 5 and on demand on August 12 – also stars Claudia Sulewski, Rachel Dratch, Lil Rel Howery, Amy Landecker and Ricky Velez.
