Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's anthology returns

Here's a glimpse of the reunion between The League of Gentlemen Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith on tonight's  Inside No. 9.

In the first episode of the seventh season, the trio play estranged university friends reuniting after 30 years – to take a pedalo ride on an empty lake.

Also along for the ride is Donna (Diane Morgan), the girlfriend of Pemberton's character Darren, who gets the wrong end of the stick about where they are heading – and about the degree Shearsmith's Lawrence studied.

The episode, entitled Merrily Merrily, airs on BBC Two at 10pm tonight.
