First trailer for The Witchfinder

With Tim Key and Daisy May Cooper

The BBC has released the first trailer for its new comedy The Witchfinder, starring Tim Key and Daisy May Cooper.

Set in 1645, the show features Key as a failing witchfinder who transports a suspected witch (Cooper) across East Anglia, as she keeps badgering him with uncomfortable questions.

The six-part series features a raft of top comedy names including Jessica Hynes, Daniel Rigby, Tuwaine Barrett, Reece Shearsmith, Julian Barratt, Ricky Tomlinson, Rosie Cavaliero, Cariad Lloyd, Ellie White, Vincent Franklin, Joplin Sibtain, Allan Mustafa, Seb Cardinal and Dan Renton Skinner.

Baby Cow productions are making the series, which has been written and and directed by Alan Partridge writers Neil and Rob Gibbons.

It will air on BBC Two but no broadcast date has yet been announced.
