Alistair Campbell reads his 'bad sex award' fiction

On new Comedy Central panel show

Alistair Campbell reads an extract from his book that earned him a nomination for a bad sex award in this clip from tomorrow’s opening episode of Yesterday, Today And The Day Before.

The new female-led Comedy Central show starts with Suzi Ruffell, Sophie Duker, Maisie Adam and Steph McGovern on the panel and Tony Blair’s spin doctor as a guest.

He made the  Literary Review's 2010 bad sex shortlist for his second novel Maya, which includes such lines as: ‘The walls were going to fall down as we stroked and screamed our way through hours of pleasure to the union for which my whole life had been a preparation.’

And he read more  cringe-inducing prose on the show, to the encouragement - and horror - of the panel.

Yesterday, Today And The Day Before is on Thursday at 9pm on Comedy Central.
