Last month The BBC said they wanted to create 'Britain's answer to The Simpsons' to end American dominance of what children watch on TV.

Well now comic Alasdair Beckett-King has taken the brief very literally, and considered just how Springfield's favourite dysfunctional family might act if transplanted to the UK.

'It would be shorter and a lot more depressing,' he concluded before introducing his 30-second version:
