Nikki Britton on not being a mum

At the Melbourne International Comedy Festival gala

Aussie comic Nikki Britton has spoken about the expectations that she should become a mother in her set at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival gala.

In her typically energetic and forthright style, the stand-up describes how her decision has been called selfish, the patronising attitude of smug new mums and the language surrounding the ‘miracle’ of childbirth.

The gig was broadcast on the ABC, with sets uploaded to YouTube.
