Eddie Murphy's belated sequel

Amazon Prime has released the first trailer for Coming 2 America, the sequel to the 1988 John Landis classic.

Eddie Murphy returns to play several characters, including the newly-crowned King Akeem of Zamunda who must head back to Queens, New York, with his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall)

The cast also includes Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes and James Earl Jones.

Directed by Dolemite Is My Name’s Craig Brewer, Coming 2 America was sold to Amazon Prime Video for £94 million after the coronavirus pandemic wrecked plans for a cinema release.

It will now be available to Amazon Prime subscribers from March 5.
