Chris Rock's Saturday Night Live monologue

On coronavirus and the flaws of the Presidential system

Chris Rock performed stand-up about the effects of the pandemic as Saturday Night Live returned to American TV screens last night.

And he suggested the coronavirus means America should reassess its relationship with the government and the Presidential system - joking that game shows have more rules than it takes to run for the most powerful job in the Western world.

Saturday Night Live returned to its New York studio for the first time since lockdown with a greatly reduced, socially distanced audience of first responders. Rock also mentioned the health and safety protocols on set, joking that nasal Covid tests means 'I haven't had so much stuff up my nose since I shared a dressing room with Chris Farley'.

In the UK, the show airs on Sky Comedy at 9pm tonight.
