Stephen Merchant takes on the Mastermind champ

Stephen Merchant has gone head-to-head with Mastermind champion Stuart Field on his specialist subject, Extras.
And despite co-creating the comedy with Ricky Gervais, Merchant came off much worse.
Field chose the sitcom as his specialist subject in the final of the BBC show last month, scoring 15 points and no passes.
Merchant then tried to play along with the round, having never seen it before, and was left floundering. 'That guy's unbelievable,' said an awestruck Merchant afterwards. 'I got one right, I think...' (Although he does himself a disservice: he actually got two)
The writer and comic wrote on Instagram: 'Congratulations Stuart. Unbelievable knowledge. Safe to say if I ever find myself on Mastermind, I won’t choose one of my own shows.'
