Viewers complained about Bill Bailey's phoney pachyderm

comedyBill Bailey’s appearance on Strictly Come Dancing prompted some rather odd complaints to the BBC, the comedian has revealed.

Viewers apparently took issue with the fact that an elephant appeared during one of his dance routines – apparently unaware it  was computer generated.

Speaking to his dance partner Oti Mabuse on her podcast The Rhythm Of Life, animal-loverBailey said: ‘People thought there was a real elephant in the studio.

‘I actually got a woman saying, "I can’t believe you Bill. I’m very disappointed".’

The animal was of several that appeared in week two of last year’s series, when the pair did a quickstep to Talk To The Animals from Doctor Dolittle.
