The one with the Friends apartment made out of Lego

New set launched... for £135

comedyLego fans will soon be able to create the two apartments at the heart of Friends with the release of a new construction set.

The 2,048-piece collection features the New York homes of both Monica and Rachel, and Chandler and Joey, plus the adjoining hallway.

It also includes props such as the Thanksgiving turkey that ended up on Monica’s head, the canoe that was Joey and Chandler’s entire furniture collection and  Phoebe’s dollhouse that went up in flames.

Other accessories include the Poking Device; Gladys, Phoebe’s creepy art piece; the cheesecake that fells on the floor; Pat the Dog and the chick and duck.

The set also includes seven mini-figures, comprising all the main characters plus Janice, Chandler's on-again, off-again girlfriend.

Rachel is depicted in her plaid skirt; Ross in his too-tight leather pants; Monica in an apron; Phoebe in a classic floral look; Chandler in a suit and loud designer tie; and Joey wearing all of Chandler’s clothes.

Friends characters in lego

Lego set designer Anderson Ward Grubb said: ‘Following the success of the Lego Ideas Central Perk set, we wanted to develop another tribute to this iconic TV show with a focus on the famous apartments.

‘We worked directly from production photos of the set as well as watching and re-watching a lot of episodes so we could capture as many iconic moments as possible.

‘One fun challenge was figuring out how to represent some aspects that change over the course of the show that appear in some episodes and not in others. I am looking forward to seeing if the eagle-eyed fans will spot them.’

The  Friends apartments set is available for Lego VIP members from next week and in stores from June 21 – priced £134.99.
