Brennan Reece wins 'joke of the festival'

From the Creatures Comedy Festival in Manchester

comedyBrennan Reece has won an award for having the best joke at the Creatures Comedy Festival in Manchester.

His winning gag was: ‘An online troll recently said I was "average". Which I thought was mean. Or median. I can never remember.’

The comic wins five nights staying in a Roomzzz Aparthotel, which sponsored the award.

Reece took the title following a public vote by Roomzzz staff, guests and comedy fans who went to the festival of 40 shows – mainly Edinburgh Fringe previews – in July.

Lorna Rose Treen, Alex Camp, Metroland and Raul Kohli also had jokes shortlisted.

Roomzzz marketing manager Gary Skipper said: ‘Comedy has a unique way of bringing people together, and Brennan’s joke really captured the spirit of the festival. We’re delighted to celebrate emerging and established comedy talent while also giving something back to the audiences.’
