Joe Lycett's got your badge
Comic designs a pin to hail lockdown heroes
As an artist, Joe Lycett has already had a sculpture displayed at the Royal Academy.
And now he’s put his creative talents to designing a pin badge as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to the heroes of lockdown.
He is one of the stars who contributed to the #PinYourThanks charity drive, which is selling enamel badges for £5 a time, with profits going to Volunteering Matters and NHS Charities Together.
Lycett’s design carries the Brummie message ‘Cheers, Bab’ with a thumbs-up and the tagline ‘heartfelt thanks’.
He said: ‘I was particularly thrilled I could bring a bit of Birmingham into my design, as I am so thankful to so many of the citizens of my home city for their extraordinary efforts in this time.
‘It’s a wonderful idea which provides a simple and meaningful way to say thank you.’
Others who have designed badges include Keira Knightley, Ringo Starr, Emeli Sandé and footballer David James.
Badges can be bought here.
