Amy Schumer has become a mother for the first time, giving birth to a baby boy just before 4am UK time yesterday.
The comedian posted the news on instagram with a photo of herself, her husband Chris Fischer and her new son, saying he was their own 'royal baby'.
Earlier in they day, she posted a photograph of herself outside the ultra-fashionable Met Gala in New York as it was being set up
'Met look this year. Last night on the way to the hospital,' she posted.
Schumer, 37, has been keeping her 8.5million Instagram followers updated throughout her pregnancy, including detail the effects of hyperemesis gravidarum, the severe morning sickness that comes with frequent spells of nausea, dehydration and vomiting.
